Honey Glazed Pearl Onions

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 24 pearl onions, peeled (use cipollini or other small onion)
  • 2 cups beef broth (or braising liquid from short ribs)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. once hot, add onions and cook until they begin to brown in spots, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 add beef broth or reserved braising liquid and cook until nearly evaporated, about 20 minutes. stir in honey and cook 3 minutes longer, spooning the glaze over onions. season with salt and pepper.
