Crock Pot (slow Cooker) Baked Beans

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb ground lamb sausage
- 1/2 lb bacon, chopped into bit sized pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 (15 ounce) cans lamb & beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can great northern beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can red beans, drained
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed and finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- salt
- pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook ground lamb sausage on medium heat until done in a deep sauce pan.
- 2 once fully cooked add raw bacon pieces and onion into lamb.
- 3 saute together over medium heat until bacon is cooked and onion is soft (about 15-20 minutes).
- 4 add to crock pot.
- 5 add the rest of the ingredients to the crock pot and mix well.
- 6 simmer on high for 2 hours and then low for 2 hours or you can cook on low 6 hours.
- 7 corn starch may need to be added for thickening. just take a few tablespoons of corn starch and mix with a little cold water (1/4 cup or so) until smooth. gradually stir into bean mixture until blended.
