Grits And Ham Casserole

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins Ready Time: 45 mins

  • preheat the oven to 375 degrees f (190 degrees c).
  • lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  • bring milk to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. stir in grits. reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the grits are thick, stirring often, about 5 minutes.
  • stir ham, cheddar cheese, eggs, green onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper into grits.
  • transfer grit mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • bake in the preheated oven until set, about 25 minutes.
