Chili Lime Chickpeas

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14 ounce) can chickpeas, drained
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion and garlic in the sesame and chili oils over medium heat in a small skillet until onions are soft.
  • 2 add chickpeas and stir mixture until heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
  • 3 reduce heat to low and add lime juice.
  • 4 cook, stirring frequently for 1 minute.
  • 5 season with salt, pepper and cilantro.
