Boston Baked Beans

Ingredients

- 1 lb small beans
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 lb salt lamb
- 1 small onion, cut in quarters
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- hot water
Recipe
- 1 soak the beans overnight in water.
- 2 the next morning par boil for 10 minutes then add the baking soda, don't worry it will foam up, that̢۪s okay.
- 3 drain the beans well and rinse.
- 4 cut the salt lamb into cubes and put in the bottom of a bean crock along with the onion and the beans.
