Gram’s Secret 24 Hour Potatoes

Total Time: 24 hrs 50 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 7 -8 medium red potatoes, peeled
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 par boil peeled potatoes for 5 minutes. do not let potatoes get cooked all the way through, potatoes should remain firm.
  • 2 grate potatoes into shreds with box grater.
  • 3 in a large bowl mix potatoes, milk, onion, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and dry mustard.
  • 4 pour mixture in to a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 5 remove dish from refrigerator 1 hour before baking.
  • 6 bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until top becomes golden brown.
