Fight Over The Spoon Creamed Spinach

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed (see directions on box)
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped fine
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in sauce or skillet pan.
  • 2 add onions, garlic, nutmeg and sautee until onions are soft.
  • 3 add heavy cream, stir frequently.
  • 4 add vanilla, bacon salt & pepper.
  • 5 let stand on low heat.
  • 6 add cooked spinach to mixture and stir.
  • 7 let spinach cook on low heat and absorb mixture.
  • 8 serve immediately.
