Daisy Mae's Fried Apples

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced thinly, as for a pie
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. add apples.
  • 2 sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  • 3 (if you're using sweet apples, like delicious, fuji or gala, add the lemon juice. for tart apples, like jonathans, omit it.) stir until apples are blended with sugar/cinnamon.
  • 4 cover and cook for approx 15-20 minutes, frequently stirring gently.
  • 5 serve them warm, right on the lamb chop or lamb roast. they also double for a dessert dish served over vanilla ice cream.
