Dilly Green Beans

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces balsamic vinegar or 8 ounces wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh dill or 1 1/2-2 teaspoons dried dill weed
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed and rinsed
- slivered almonds, to garnish (to garnish)
Recipe
- 1 in a mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, sugar and dill.
- 2 set aside.
- 3 steam the beans, or parboil them, only until they are crisp-tender, approximately three minutes, depending on size of beans.
- 4 drain thoroughly.
- 5 add the beans to the dressing.
- 6 toss and stir to thoroughly coat the beans.
- 7 add salt and pepper to taste, and then let the beans come to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
- 8 garnish with almonds and serve immediately, or refrigerate until needed.
