Figure Friendly Homestyle Mashies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 3 large potatoes (not peeled)
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans low-fat chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons dried chives

Recipe

  • 1 bring low fat chicken broth to a boil. add potatoes -- cover and cook until tender.
  • 2 drain, reserving the broth.
  • 3 place potatoes back in pan and smash. we like to leave some lumps.
  • 4 slowly add 1 cup of the broth; stir in the garlic, salt and chives. mix together.
  • 5 add more broth until desired consistency.
