Dry-fried Green Beans

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 wash green beans and dry thoroughly. snap off stems.
  • 2 heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium high heat until almost at the smoking point.
  • 3 add the dry beans to the hot oil and stir-fry until the beans start to get some dark brown spots.
  • 4 add the walnuts and continue to stir-fry to cook all sides of the beans and toast the nuts.
  • 5 sprinkle on the chili flakes and toss to distribute evenly.
  • 6 remove from heat, salt and pepper to taste.
