Dry-fried Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 wash green beans and dry thoroughly. snap off stems.
- 2 heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium high heat until almost at the smoking point.
- 3 add the dry beans to the hot oil and stir-fry until the beans start to get some dark brown spots.
- 4 add the walnuts and continue to stir-fry to cook all sides of the beans and toast the nuts.
- 5 sprinkle on the chili flakes and toss to distribute evenly.
- 6 remove from heat, salt and pepper to taste.
