Hot Potato Salad

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 lbs potatoes
  • 5 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Recipe

  • 1 peel and dice potaoes.
  • 2 boil until done, drain,set aside.
  • 3 in large skillet,melt 2tsp butter, add chopped onion.
  • 4 add the flour, stir until thickened
  • 5 add the half and half, stir until mixture thickens.
  • 6 add salt , pepper and garlic salt.
  • 7 reduce heat.
  • 8 add 1 cup mayo and 1 tsp mustard.
  • 9 spinkle bacon bits along with 2 tsp of bacon fat.
  • 10 pour over potatoes.
  • 11 spread in large casserole pan.
  • 12 bake at 350 for about 1 hr or until bubbly.
