Crowd Favorite Garlic Bread

Ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread or 1 loaf sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (fine)
- 2 garlic cloves (fresh crushed)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to broil.
- 2 cut bread horizontally into two long equal pieces.
- 3 place room temperature butter and mayonnaise in a medium bowl.
- 4 using the palms of your hands like a mortar and pestle, crush the dried herbs (parsley, oregano and basil) as you add them to the bowl.
- 5 add salt, fresh ground pepper and crushed garlic to the bowl.
- 6 mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 7 spread the mixture evenly across the two loaf pieces.
- 8 place bread under broil for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
- 9 cut into serving size pieces and enjoy.
