Crowd Favorite Garlic Bread

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread or 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (fine)
  • 2 garlic cloves (fresh crushed)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to broil.
  • 2 cut bread horizontally into two long equal pieces.
  • 3 place room temperature butter and mayonnaise in a medium bowl.
  • 4 using the palms of your hands like a mortar and pestle, crush the dried herbs (parsley, oregano and basil) as you add them to the bowl.
  • 5 add salt, fresh ground pepper and crushed garlic to the bowl.
  • 6 mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  • 7 spread the mixture evenly across the two loaf pieces.
  • 8 place bread under broil for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
  • 9 cut into serving size pieces and enjoy.
