Dumplings For Stew

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2/3 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 2 cut in butter, then add enough milk to make a soft dough.
  • 3 turn out on a floured board and roll about 1/2" thick.
  • 4 cut into small squares, and drop in hot liquid.
  • 5 cover tightly and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
