Fried Okra

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 7 mins Cook Time: 3 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 wash and trim okra and slice 1/2inch thick.
  • 2 heat oil in deep fryer or skillet to 350.
  • 3 mix buttermilk and egg together.
  • 4 mix flour and salt together.
  • 5 dip the okra into buttermilk and egg mixture, then the flour mixture.
  • 6 deep fry until golden brown, about three minutes. let drain on paper towels.
