Ingredients

- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup diced green chilis (or a 3 oz. casn)
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 2 (15 ounce) cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce or 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2-3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
Recipe
- 1 saute onion in butter until soft.
- 2 stir in rest of ingredients.
- 3 cook, uncovered, 15 minutes.
- 4 remove bay leaf and serve.
