Four Pepper Blast With Sesame Seed

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 onion, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary (can substitute 1 tsp. dried rosemary)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano leaves (can substitute 1/2 tsp. dried oregano)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Recipe

  • 1 heat sesame oil and butter in 4-quart sauce pan or 12-inch skillet; add garlic. cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes.
  • 2 stir in all remaining ingredients except sesame seed. reduce heat to low; continue cooking until peppers are crisply tender (5 to 7 minutes).
  • 3 stir in 2 teaspoons sesame seed. sprinkle with remaining sesame seed.
