Fried Potatoes

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1/3 cup lard
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 peel potatoes and cut into 1/8 inch slices.
  • 2 soak in cold water until crisp.
  • 3 drain off the water and dry potato slices on paper towels.
  • 4 heat lard until very hot.
  • 5 (i use a large skillet.) add potato slices.
  • 6 reduce heat and fry slowly until crusty and brown.
  • 7 turn occasionally.
  • 8 remove from pan to a paper towel-lined serving dish.
  • 9 sprinkle with salt and serve.
