Homemade Mac & Cheese

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 10 ounces of 3 years aged cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons bleached all purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons margarine
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1 dash paprika

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350* or set roasting oven to low setting.
  • 2 bring to a boil 4-5 cups water.
  • 3 add 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 then add noodles.
  • 5 reduce heat to half, and cook 10 minute.
  • 6 in a large saucepan
  • 7 melt the butter, then add milk.
  • 8 mix well.
  • 9 while stirring add all dry ingredients.
  • 10 when all dry ingred. are mix well with the milk and butter,
  • 11 start slowly adding the cheddar cubes, stirring continously until the cheese is melted.
  • 12 in a large casserole dish, spray the dish with cooking (nonstick) spray
  • 13 the add the noodles.
  • 14 the gently pour the cheese sauce over the noodles.
  • 15 then bake @ 350* for 45 minutes.
  • 16 stir when done and enjoy.
