Easy Black Beans

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (15 ounce) cans unseasoned black beans (i prefer goya)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon ground oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Recipe
- 1 put olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 add onions and green peppers and saute until onions are translucent.
- 3 add minced garlic and saute for several more minutes.
- 4 add beans, oregano, cumin, salt and wine. bring to a boil and reduce heat to low.
- 5 simmer for about 2 hours.
- 6 just before serving stir in sugar and vinegar.
