Farfalle With Creamy Pesto

Ingredients

- 8 ounces farfalle pasta or 8 ounces fusilli
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaf (packed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Recipe
- 1 cook pasta in boiling, salted water until al dente.
- 2 while pasta is cooking, combine remaining ingredients except parmesan in a food processor and process for 30 seconds.
- 3 (to release more flavor from basil leaves, place them in a small plastic bag and bruise with a meat mallet before adding to food processor).
- 4 drain pasta and toss with sauce in a serving bowl.
- 5 sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
