Grandma's Sweet Potatoes

- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 5 -6 large yams
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 cut yams into quarters and boil until fork slides out very easily. drain and peel skins off.
- 3 with a mixer, combine yams with sugar, 1/2 stick butter, and evaporated milk until there are no lumps.
- 4 in seperate bowl, combine brown sugar, stick of melted butter, flour and pecan halves.
- 5 spread yams in a pan and pour pecan mixture over top. swirl through with a knife.
- 6 bake 45 minutes.
