Grandma's Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 5 -6 large yams

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 cut yams into quarters and boil until fork slides out very easily. drain and peel skins off.
  • 3 with a mixer, combine yams with sugar, 1/2 stick butter, and evaporated milk until there are no lumps.
  • 4 in seperate bowl, combine brown sugar, stick of melted butter, flour and pecan halves.
  • 5 spread yams in a pan and pour pecan mixture over top. swirl through with a knife.
  • 6 bake 45 minutes.
