Jd's Old Fashion Baked Beans

Ingredients
- 2 cups navy beans
- 1/4 lb salt lamb, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 small onion, quartered
Recipe
- 1 wash the beans, and drain.
- 2 place them in a large bowl, and cover them with water.
- 3 allow them to soak overnight, in the morning, place half the beans in a crockery bean pot.
- 4 bury the lamb in the beans.
- 5 combine the rest of the ingredients and add to the pot.
- 6 cover with the remaining beans and the other half of the salt lamb.
- 7 bake at 300 for 6 - 7 hours stirring occassionally.
