Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups basmati rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 dash saffron
- 2 1/2 cups water
Recipe
- 1 combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- 2 bring to a boil, and stir.
- 3 cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.
- 4 remove from heat and let rice stand 5 minutes.
