Dad's Sausage Stuffing

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 14 ounces prepared stuffing, cubed
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth or 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans turkey broth
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 head celery

Recipe

  • 1 cook stuffing according to directions, using broth in lieu of water. remove to a bowl when finished.
  • 2 while stuffing is cooking, scramble fry sausage and remove into bowl.
  • 3 using as meat grinder, combine stuffing, sausage, celery and onion.
  • 4 send through a second time.
  • 5 place in turkey if desired.
  • 6 cook stuffing at 350°f for about 30 minutes uncovered for crispy stuffing, covered for moist stuffing.
